All prospective clients are invited to attend an Initial Consultation. This consultation lasts approximately 30 to 40 minutes, and is Completely Free of Charge.
The purpose off any initial consultation is twofold. First, it gives the client the opportunity to meet the therapist and decide whether or not they feel comfortable with them, and Secondly, it's in order that both the therapist and the client can discuss the Symptoms or Problem in detail in order to evaluate and discuss the potential avenues of therapy available.
During the initial consultation, the client is asked to complete a short but detailed medical questionnaire. This is done in order to establish that (a) the client is a suitable candidate for hypnosis, and (b) that hypnosis is considered to be a suitable form of treatment for the client. In very rare circumstances, where there are potential health issues (Epilepsy for example), the therapist may refer the client back to their GP for an independent assessment before proceeding into therapy.
At the end of my Initial Consultations, I always carry out a very quick and simple character profiling exercise which I will complete before I meet with the client again. At this point, the client is asked to sign the medical questionnaire which also includes a declaration that confirms that the client has had the hypnotic process explained to them by the therapist, and that they are submitting themselves to the therapy in a free and voluntary manner. The client will then book and pay for the first session in advance.
This is charged at a rate of £65 per session. A session is approximately 50–60 minutes long. Where two sessions have been recommended, the client can receive a discount by booking and paying for both sessions prior to commencement at a Double Session cost of £120.
This is also booked and paid for prior to commencement, but as this usually involves between 6 and 10 sessions, there is also the option to block book these in pairs, again two sessions for £120. By doing this, the cost of a complete course can Save the Client between £60 and £100. If a session that has been pre–paid is considered by the Therapist to no longer be required, then the full costs of the unused sessions will be refunded.
If a pre–paid session is cancelled with more than 24 hours notice, this can then usually be re–scheduled at no cost.
Where an appointment is cancelled with Less than 24 Hours Notice, then the client will be asked to pay a Cancellation Fee of 50% of the single session. If an appointment that has not been cancelled is not attended without any prior notice, then the full session fee shall become payable.
